Avantstar has been in business since 2001 and is a leader in document viewing for large corporate and small businesses, government agencies and law firms worldwide. Avantstar’s Quick View Plus technology platforms enable customers to increase productivity by providing instant visibility into over 300 file formats, without the need to view within their native applications. Customers have the option of deploying a file viewer for the desktop or laptop, server or via hosted web services — bringing modern convenience to users. Additionally, Quick View Plus also serves customers with more advanced needs, like e-discovery, native file review or computer forensics.
The challenge
Depth and breadth of file formats
Avantstar’s product team had been working with this type of technology for nearly 20 years. It was determined to fill the list of requirements needed to purchase the right technology. The product team understood there were only two or three potential vendors in this space that could satisfy its needs. Avantstar needed a vendor that would:

The Avantstar team had precise requirements around providing its customers with the ability to view documents as close to the native rendering as possible. Resolution had to be high-definition (HD), and Document Filters renders content in HD without the need for additional software.
