Hylanders unleash generosity on #GivingTuesday and all year through

But if you ask any Hylander, they’ll tell you that “giving back” isn’t just a season at Hyland — it’s at the core of who we are all year.

#GivingTuesday Launches our Holiday Giving Program

Though Hylanders take time throughout the calendar year to give back,  #GivingTuesday kicks off our annual holiday giving program that benefits the local communities Hylanders are part of across the globe.

During this donation period, Hylanders can donate to a variety of nonprofits that fellow Hylanders have nominated to benefit from this collective effort.

Plus, in true Hyland fashion, we make our giving fun! Any employee who donates can enter to win awesome prizes (we’re talking really awesome — think shopping sprees, additional PTO and airline tickets)!

New this year: Hyland has chosen #GivingTuesday to incentivize giving. If employees make their donation on that day, they double their chance to win a prize!

Hylanders Volunteer Throughout the Year

If you know a thing or two about Hyland, #GivingTuesday isn’t the only day out of the year that our employees’ generosity makes an impact in our local communities.

In fact, in 2022 alone (so far!), our employees:

• Volunteered over 6,000 hours

• Contributed more than $170,000 to organizations globally through our giving platform and matching gifts program

• Supported 388 causes

It’s no secret Hylanders are here to help — and given that our Volunteer Time Off is doubling to 24 hours in 2023, employees can spend even more time making a difference in their communities.

Take a look at just some of the ways Hylanders have been giving back through volunteerism this year:

Hurricane Ian relief work

Executive Assistant Sara Christiansen drove more than six hours to spend a week helping Fort Myers, Fla., residents with disaster response relief. She mudded out houses, cleared debris and tarped roofs.

Hygiene drive to benefit the needy

Through Hylanders’ donations, our Veterans Employee Resource Group packed and delivered kits of hygiene products to benefit more than 65 individuals in need in the Cleveland area.

Support for the people of Ukraine

Hylanders united to support and aid the people of Ukraine through:

• Donating team funds to humanitarian support efforts

• Raising over $35,000 worth of medical supplies through the idea of one Hylander

• Volunteering time to help local charities

Hylanders Find Dynamic Ways to Embrace the Giving Spirit

Hyland matches employees’ nonprofit donations

Hyland donates dollar-for-dollar up to $250 a year for an employee’s qualified nonprofit donation. This program encourages our employees to give back to organizations that mean the most to them, while supporting a diverse set of causes throughout the year.

Hylanders 4 Hylanders

Supporting one of our core values, Family, Hylanders 4 Hylanders provides assistance to employees who are facing financial hardship. The program allows employees to make charitable donations to assist fellow employees in times of need.

For example, an employee can elect to donate $2 from their paycheck each pay period, and that money pools with other Hylanders’ donations. Our colleagues in need can apply for a grant for a number of reasons, including impacts from natural disasters and serious illness or injury, among other situations.

Tech outreach programs

Employees help students from all backgrounds advance their tech skills, and everyone has a lot of fun while doing it!

In 2022 alone, over 1,000 employee hours were dedicated to Tech Outreach programs.

The Hy-5

A Hyland-hosted 5k in Cleveland that benefits a local community health system dedicated to health equity and improving outcomes for everyone.

Week of Service

Each summer, Hyland helps coordinate a volunteer opportunity for giving back to our local communities across the globe.  Employees can take time away from work throughout the designated week to volunteer their time to organizations in their communities that need help.
