Hyland strengthens Workday partnership by launching Hyland for Workday Extend
The new value-added solution provides rich content services for Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management
Hyland, a leading content services provider, has furthered its partnership with Workday by launching its new Hyland for Workday Extend solution. Integrating Hyland’s document capture, indexing and view capabilities with Workday’s data and processes, users can capture and view content in-context of their Workday applications.
One of the biggest challenges for accounts payable and human resources workers is ensuring they can easily access information within their enterprise resource planning and human capital management systems. With these systems traditionally built to manage records and data, it has led to process inefficiencies -- forcing workers to leave their core applications to access a file share, network drive or disparate content repository to retrieve documents and supporting information.
Designed to integrate with Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management, the pre-configured, API-based solution enables users to:
- Easily capture a document, with as few as two clicks, into a Workday object and add metadata to the document to support multiple retrieval options
- Instantly access vital documents within a Workday business process or locate content captured from all enterprise systems through the main Workday interface
- Share content across Workday by linking a document within a Workday business process so it’s visible across all areas of a business
- Remotely access documents through mobile or desktop so they can be viewed anywhere through Workday’s cloud platform
Workday Extend is Workday’s preferred technology platform used by customers and partners to build, deploy and manage new business capabilities for finance and human resources. Since Workday Extend is architected on the same platform as Workday’s enterprise applications, customers can be confident that solutions like Hyland for Workday Extend will deliver new, value-adding capabilities that can be accessed from familiar home screens or system interfaces. In comparison, third-party, ad-hoc integrations cannot match the level of interactions supported for back-end Workday data and processes.
Hyland for Workday Extend originated as a prototype that was presented during Workday’s annual developer conference in 2021. Demonstrating how Hyland’s OnBase could be used to capture and manage documents directly in Workday Human Capital Management, continued development for the solution resulted in Hyland being named a winner of the Workday Partner Innovation Awards in the Office of Human Resources Category in 2022.
